Welcome to the Nevada Captive Insurance Association
The Nevada Captive Insurance Association (NCIA), a non-profit
organization, was formally organized in 2004. NCIA was formed to support,
promote, foster, and market Nevada as an attractive and competitive captive
insurance domicile; to assist and advise the Insurance Commissioner regarding
matters affecting captive insurance companies in Nevada; and to support
Nevada's captive insurance industry with respect to legislative, regulatory and
other matters which affect formation or operation of captive insurance
companies.
Membership
Membership in NCIA is open to all captive insurance companies licensed in
Nevada and to all individuals and entities with a bona fide interest consistent
with the positive promotion, development and maintenance of captive insurance
in Nevada.
In addition to Nevada's Insurance Commissioner (an ex officio
member), plus captives licensed in Nevada, NCIA members include captive
managers, brokers, financial institutions, accounting firms, legal firms,
actuary/risk consultants, insurance companies, and claims administrators, all
of whom are either directly involved in captives and/or support the development
of a quality captive environment in Nevada.
